The truely inspirational George Hoyningen Huene

George Hoyningen Huene was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia 1900. Having fled the Russian revolution Hoyninghen Huene moved first to London then to Paris working for Vogue. Eventual becoming their chief photographer.
He would become one of the great exponents of fashion photography of the 20s and 30s. His graphic compositions  and lighting techniques are truely amazing.
In 1935 he moved to New York working for Harpers Bazaar. In 1943 he moved to Hollywood where
he would photograph the film stars and celebrities of the day.
He died in 1968.
